Equipment
Buying your own bow is a rite of passage for any archer, but we caution new archers not to rush into a purchase as it may end up costing you twice. The poundage you can draw and your draw length is likely to change dramatically over your first months of shooting, so our usual advice is to buy the best riser (handle) you can (or the one you like the best) and start with inexpensive limbs and arrows as you may need to change these quite quickly. The coaching team can help you work out what size bow and length arrows you will need.
Aside from the bow and arrows themselves, there are a number of accessories that you will need to complete your set-up, some essential, some optional. Like everything in archery, they range from inexpensive to very expensive but, give or take, they all do the same job so get the one you can afford (or like the best).
